How it works

COVID-19 has brought America to a halt, and with it almost all in-person voter mobilization efforts. While we can’t get on buses to swing states or go door-to-door right now, there is a huge opportunity for you to get out the vote. Together, our grassroots movement will educate swing state voters about vote-by-mail and help get out the vote…from home!

With $25, we can send applications to 20 voters. We're all about transparency and making grassroots donations go further. Thanks to our Union printer and Civic Design Center's tested absentee ballot request design, we can keep costs down and reach more voters.

Voter Gets Ballot Request Form

We mail targeted voters at highest risk from COVID-19 and voter disenfranchisement in swing states their absentee ballot application package. Wherever possible, it has everything they need to request a mail-in ballot: application and a return envelope with postage! That’s right, no need for a stamp.

You Get Out The Vote (at home)

Grassroots volunteers like you send texts and calls to these same voters reminding them to complete and mail back the request form! Studies show that follow up contact like this can increase turnout by 4 percentage points. Sign up to volunteer to help today!

Success! Voters receive their absentee ballot and can safely vote from home, ensuring that these voters don’t have to choose between their health and exercising their right to vote in 2020, and preventing Donald Trump from using a public health crisis as a tool of voter disenfranchisement.

urgency of the moment

Voters in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Nevada were forced to put their health at risk to vote in 2020. We want to ensure every eligible American has access to vote by mail in the 2020 general election.

High-profile Democrats see the unique value of Vote From Home 2020's role in winning the general election.

"No one should have to choose between their right to vote and their health. During this pandemic, we must find ways to protect everyone’s right to vote while prioritizing safety above anything else. That’s why I’m proud to support the new Vote From Home 2020 initiative in their effort to expand vote-by-mail in the 2020 elections and ensure that every American has the opportunity to vote, and vote safely, this November."
